Fenômeno é conhecido por bioluminescência e foi registrado na Califórnia, nos Estados Unidos
Mesmo em meio à quarentena decorrente da pandemia de coronavírus, um fotógrafo decidiu se arriscar nas ruas da Califórnia, nos Estados Unidos, para registrar um momento incrível: golfinhos nadavam em um mar brilhante.

O fenômeno registrado por Patrick Coyne é conhecido como bioluminescência, que é a produção de luz por organismos vivos, ocorrendo frequentemente com animais marinhos, além de fungos e insetos, como os vaga-lumes. No Instagram, ele compartilhou imagens de ondas brilhantes:
Em outra publicação, Patrick mostrou o registro de golfinhos nadando em meio à água brilhante, dando a impressão de que eles estavam iluminados: "As condições devem ser absolutamente perfeitas para que a bioluminescência apareça e um animal nade para que possamos filmar. Além disso, apenas tentar focar em um local tão aberto, com algo se movendo na água, era um pesadelo", contou sobre a experiência.
"Ficamos fora por algumas horas e, em nosso trecho final, finalmente tivemos dois golfinhos aparecendo para iniciar o incrível e brilhante show. Alguns minutos depois, fomos recebidos por mais alguns, o que foi insano", ainda disse.
